Job Purpose:
- Ensure activities of Private Banking (PB) business comply with regulatory requirements, ethical standards as well as relevant policies and procedures as prescribed locally and cascaded by
- DBS Bank.
- Ensure that operational risks related to PB are under control and adequately monitored.
- Ensure that PB business is developed and grown within a tightly controlled regulatory
- and compliance environment.
- Ensure that relevant parties related to PB business have awareness and understanding towards PB operational process, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Key Accountabilities:
1.Control and Monitor Related Function
- Monitor and control to ensure activities undertaken under Private Wealth Management, Thailand is in compliance with relevant policies and guidelines by performing review and checking
- on required operational process and control areas.
- Coordinate with Singapore Sales Surveillance Team on surveillance related matters including translation of voice log.
2.Risk Management and Control Related Function
- Assist AVP in conducting Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) for PB business.
- Closely monitor KRI evolution and initiate necessary actions.
- Timely report and escalate of risk issue and risk event.
3.Process Related Function
- Act as coordinator for the local implementation of corresponding set of procedures.
- Ensure local SOP related to PB business are in place, kept relevant and up to date.
- Communicate, train and circulate relevant and necessary policies, procedures, SOP workflow, guidelines as well as document to local team to ensure awareness, compliance and smooth operational process for PB business.
- Initiate plan and rollout relevant local and DBS Bank procedures required to appropriately control operational risk of PB business.
- Identify, specify test, monitor implementation of any locally required process/ system enhancements related to control and the development of platform to support PB business.
- Coordinate with local compliance to keep abreast of good knowledge of local market trend
- and regulatory expectations as to be able to anticipate the necessary evolutions.
- Provide feedback as appropriate on existing/new systems and process.
- Act as contact point for internal/ external audit related to PB business in coordination with other teams and ensure timely closure of Internal/ External audit points and ROR items.
4.Administrative Related Function
- Act as coordinator for PB Staff Onboarding including access related.
- Coordinate with Wealth SG Training team for E-learning enrolment to PB staff.
Qualification Required:
- University degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of banking/ investment/ securities firm experience in Operational risk and control
- Front-to-Back banking process knowledge
- Able to multi-task within a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and analytical skills to respond and process incoming.
- Fluent in English and Thai.
- Autonomy, drive, collaborative mindset, can do attitude, integrity and reliability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
