In Thailand, our Transport organization works closely with transport subcontractors to ensure service excellence, safety compliance, and sustainable growth.

The Transport Vendor Management team governs subcontractor performance, contract compliance, safety standards, and cost optimization, partnering with internal stakeholders to support reliable transport operations and business expansion.

  • Manage transport vendor performance, compliance, and governance against contractual, operational, and safety standards.
  • Monitor subcontractor actual performance versus agreed plans, truck supply commitments, and service requirements.
  • Review and update weekly and monthly vendor performance reports with Senior Vendor Management leadership.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly subcontractor performance reviews covering KPIs, safety, service level, and capacity readiness.
  • Monitor and track subcontractor compliance with company policies, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish corrective action and improvement plans with subcontractors where performance gaps are identified.
  • Govern transport contracts to ensure adherence to agreed terms, conditions, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Review and negotiate transport specifications and commercial agreement terms to continuously improve transportation cost and performance.
  • Lead complex negotiations and issue resolution with subcontractors to achieve win‑win outcomes.
  • Initiate cost‑saving projects through sourcing, subcontractor selection, backhaul optimization, utilization improvement, and network connectivity.
  • Analyze market intelligence on key subcontractors, including cost structures, truck supply, service capability, and competitive positioning.
  • Proactively review truck demand and supply, mitigating risks of capacity shortage through forward planning.
  • Understand subcontractor supply capability and scalability to support business growth.
  • Promote telematics system installation and digital solutions across subcontractors in alignment with company policy.
  • Manage operational issues, disputes, and escalations at account level to timely resolution.
  • Initiate and manage Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs to strengthen strategic partnerships.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in transport, logistics, supply chain, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in transport vendor management, subcontractor sourcing, and performance governance.
  • Strong understanding of transport and warehouse operating processes within a 3PL environment.
  • Solid experience in transport contract management, cost negotiation, and compliance governance.
  • Strong understanding of transport cost structures, rate mechanisms (FTL, LTL, haulage, cross‑border), and network design.
  • Experience in transport sourcing, capacity planning, and supply risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to manage disputes, operational issues, and high‑pressure negotiations.
