achieving revenue targets.
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Sales Trainer to design and deliver effective training
programs for our admissions and sales teams.
The role will focus on sales onboarding, product training, communication skills, sales
techniques, objection handling, call quality, and continuous performance coaching. The Sales
Trainer will work closely with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and build training
interventions that directly contribute to improved conversion and revenue performance.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in sales training, coaching, call
audits, and performance improvement, preferably within EdTech, Education, B2C, Inside
Sales, or a high-volume sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Training & Development
Design and deliver training programs for new and existing sales teams.
Conduct structured onboarding programs for new sales hires.
Train teams on sales processes, customer engagement, product knowledge, and sales
techniques.
Develop training modules, presentations, role plays, activities, and assessments.
Conduct refresher and upskilling sessions based on business requirements.
- Sales Skills & Conversion Training
Train sales teams on consultative selling and effective sales conversations.
Coach teams on probing, need identification, pitching, and closing techniques.
Develop strong objection-handling and negotiation capabilities.
Train counsellors on creating urgency and effectively communicating product value.
Improve conversion through structured sales coaching interventions.
- Call Audits & Quality Improvement
Conduct regular call audits to assess sales conversations and customer handling.
Identify gaps in communication, pitch quality, product knowledge, and objection
handling.
Provide actionable feedback and individual coaching to sales representatives.
Track recurring quality issues and create targeted training interventions.
Work with sales managers to improve overall call quality and conversion
performance.
Analyse individual and team performance to identify training requirements.
Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions for underperforming team members.
Work with Sales Managers and Team Leads to create improvement plans.
Monitor the effectiveness of training through post-training performance metrics.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve sales productivity and conversion.
- Product & Process Training
Develop strong understanding of 21K School's programs, offerings, admission
process, and customer journey.
Train sales teams on product positioning and communicating key value propositions.
Ensure teams are aligned with updated sales processes, policies, and communication
standards.
Conduct regular knowledge checks and assessments.
- Training Content & Reporting
Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, sales scripts, and learning resources.
Maintain training calendars and track completion and participation.
Prepare regular reports on training effectiveness and team performance.
Measure training impact through metrics such as conversion, productivity, call
quality, and sales performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales Managers, Team Leads, HR, and Revenue Leadership to
identify capability gaps.
Collaborate with leadership to align training programs with business and revenue
goals.
Support new product, process, or campaign launches through focused sales training.
Provide insights to sales leadership based on call audits and training observations.
Selection Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related
field.
Relevant sales training certifications will be an added advantage.
4–6 years of experience in Sales Training, Sales Coaching, L&D, or Sales Enablement.
Strong hands-on experience training Inside Sales / B2C / Admissions / Counselling
teams.
Experience in EdTech, Education, SaaS, BPO, or high-volume sales environments is
preferred.
Prior experience conducting call audits and performance coaching is highly preferred.
Experience working with sales teams and sales leadership is required.
Strong knowledge of sales techniques, consultative selling, and objection handling.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities.
Ability to conduct effective role plays and practical sales simulations.
Good understanding of sales metrics and conversion funnels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel/Google Sheets, and training tools.
Confident and engaging trainer with strong facilitation skills.
High ownership and ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment.
