SAP ABAP

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications and integrations utilizing both traditional ABAP and modern SAP technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP BTP, OData Services, CDS Views, RAP, and SAP Integration technologies.
• Support digital transformation initiatives and ensure compliance with cybersecurity, SOX, and IT governance requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows, and conversions.
• Develop and maintain SAP S/4HANA applications using modern ABAP programming techniques.
• Build and consume OData Services for SAP and non-SAP integrations.
• Develop SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and enhance user experience through SAP Fiori Launchpad.
• Design and implement CDS Views, Core Data Services, and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) applications.
• Develop cloud-native solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), including CAP applications and extensions.
• Support SAP Workflow and SAP Build Process Automation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain interfaces using IDoc/ALE, RFC/BAPI, Web Services (SOAP/REST), OData APIs, and SAP CPI (Cloud Integration).
• Support integration between SAP and external applications, cloud platforms, manufacturing systems, supplier portals, and SuccessFactors.
• Ensure SAP developments comply with SOX controls, cybersecurity requirements, SAP development standards, SDLC, and change management processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and S/4HANA transformation activities.
• Identify opportunities to automate and optimize business processes using SAP technologies.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging SAP technologies and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to project teams.

Requirements

• Degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of SAP ABAP development experience with strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, including knowledge of modern ABAP practices, integration technologies, and relevant SAP modules.
• Hands-on experience in ABAP Objects and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience with SAP Data Dictionary, Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA development.
• Experience developing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.
• Experience building and consuming OData Services.
• Experience with CDS Views and RAP framework.
• Experience with SAP BTP services and extensions.
• Experience with SAP CPI / Integration Suite.
• Experience supporting SOX audit and compliance requirements.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Semiconductor, MM, SD, WM, PP, PM, or FICO modules.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP/ABAP OO, HANA ABAP Development, CDS Views, OData Services, SAP Gateway, SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP Business Application Studio, SAP BTP, RAP, CAP, SAP Integration Suite/CPI, SAP Workflow & SAP Build Process Automation, IDoc, RFC, BAPI, REST API, SOAP API, SQL, and HANA Database Optimization.
