Role Summary:
CHAGEE Thailand is seeking a meticulous and proactive Senior Accountant to support our growing finance function. This role will be responsible for handling the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations, and supporting the business with accurate and timely financial reporting, while reinforcing our operational finance capabilities due to increasing business volume.
As part of a lean but expanding team, the Senior Accountant will work closely with the Accounting Manager, who will retain oversight of tax-related matters.
Role Responsibilities:
- Full-Spectrum Accounting: Prepare accounting records, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Closing & Reporting: Execute timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS). Support the accounting manager in preparing financial reports for internal stakeholders and regional HQ as required.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support the accounting manager in preparing monthly tax returns including Value Added tax, Withholding Tax and Corporate Income Tax. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and statutory reporting periods.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with operations and commercial teams to ensure accurate financial alignment and support for business decision-making.
- Team Support & Development: Guide and supervise junior accountants in day-to-day activities, supporting their development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably within retail, F&B, or FMCG industries.
- Strong understanding of Thai Revenue Code is advantage.
- Strong understanding of Thai accounting standards.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a problem-solving mindset, and proactive attitude.
- Fluent in Thai; ability to communicate in English is an advantage.
