Summary: Senior Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant, AR to manage customer billing, collections, and receivables for our branches. The ideal candidate is responsible for issuing accurate invoices and tax documents, recording customer payments in the financial system, monitoring outstanding receivables, and supporting effective cash flow management. This role works closely with Operations, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure customer billing is complete and accurate, withholding tax and VAT requirements are met, and all AR activities are processed on time. The Accounting Coordinator, AR also supports intercompany reconciliations, month-end closing, and provides timely follow-up with customers on overdue accounts to keep AR processes running smoothly.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record and verify customer payments in the accounting/financial system in accordance with company procedures, ensuring AR balances are accurate and up to date.
- Issue official receipts and tax invoices promptly upon receiving customer payments, ensuring all required information is complete and correct before posting to the system.
- Review invoices, billing instructions, and supporting documents received from the Operations team for completeness, accuracy, and proper approval prior to issuance.
- Calculate withholding tax (WHT) where applicable and prepare the required statutory documents, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
- Prepare regular AR aging reports, monitor outstanding receivables, and highlight overdue or high-risk balances to relevant stakeholders.
- Proactively follow up with customers regarding overdue payments via email, phone, or other channels, and coordinate internally to support collection efforts and resolve disputes.
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany AR statements, confirm balances with related entities, and follow up on discrepancies until resolved.
- Review job or shipment-level profitability as needed to support additional VAT submissions and ensure correct tax treatment on AR transactions.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable, ensuring that all AR entries, reconciliations, and reports are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Collaborate effectively with local and regional finance teams to ensure smooth execution of AR processes and alignment with company policies.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by leaders to support finance and accounting operations.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting is highly preferred
