Senior/Architectural Coordinator (Iconic mixed development, A1 main contractor)
About the Company & Role
We are partnering with a reputable A1 main contractor to recruit an Architectural Coordinator for a large-scale and high-profile Mixed Development project in Singapore.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving architectural and multidisciplinary design coordination, and work closely with consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure that architectural designs and technical details are delivered timely and are accurate and buildable. These designs should also be well-aligned with design intent and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a high level of design consistency, buildability, and compliance with project requirements by coordinating and reviewing architectural, structural, and M&E drawings.
- Collaborate with consultants and subcontractors to promptly resolve design and technical issues, ensuring that design intent is effectively translated into constructible solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of draftspersons in preparing detailed shop drawings and technical submissions according to the project master programme.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, clashes and coordination issues across different disciplines and interfaces to maintain design integrity and buildability.
- Collaborate with the site team to support construction sequencing, material selection and design implementation.
- Ensure that architectural drawings maintain a high level of alignment with statutory requirements and are promptly submitted for approval.
- Support project documentation, meeting coordination and inspection processes as required.
- Uphold high safety and quality standards in all aspects of coordination and site work.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Building, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years experience in architectural coordination within the construction industry, preferably with main contractors in Singapore.
- Experience in mixed developments, commercial, or other large-scale building projects will be advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction details, building materials, and local authority submission requirements.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and other relevant coordination tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative project environment.
