About the Role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Business Development leader to build our network of real-world partners by acquiring stores, hotels, factories, restaurants, warehouses, and other commercial establishments. This is a high-ownership, field-intensive role focused on creating strategic partnerships at scale.

The ideal candidate has built markets from scratch, enjoys spending significant time in the field, and has led teams responsible for merchant/store onboarding, retail expansion, franchise development, or B2B partner acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new partner acquisition across retail stores, hotels, factories, restaurants, warehouses, and commercial establishments.
  • Design and execute city and territory expansion strategies to rapidly scale partner coverage.
  • Build and manage a high-performing field business development team.
  • Identify high-potential markets using data, footfall analysis, and field research.
  • Own the complete acquisition funnel—from prospecting and cold outreach to negotiation, onboarding, and activation.
  • Build relationships with business owners, CXOs, operations heads, and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless partner onboarding and engagement.
  • Track acquisition metrics, conversion rates, productivity, and partner quality to continuously improve performance.
  • Develop repeatable playbooks and processes for scalable field acquisition.

Required Experience :-

  • 7–12 years of experience in Business Development, Field Sales, Merchant Acquisition, or Retail Expansion.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring and onboarding new business partners through field sales.
  • Experience managing city, regional, or multi-city expansion programs.
  • Experience leading field sales or business development teams.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel and field engagement.

Preferred Companies

Candidates from organizations focused on merchant acquisition, retail expansion, B2B marketplaces, logistics, franchise development, or field-led business development will be preferred.
