What will you do as Senior Data Engineer
You will be responsible for delivering data products through Brand New Days data platform by
- designing, building and maintaining data pipelines and data models using Python, Azure Databricks, dbt and Kafka
- contributing to ongoing developments of the cloud platform, e.g. governance, scalability, self-service and machine learning functionality
- collaborating with business stakeholders and our data & AI team, applying a fail fast, learn fast methodology
- contributing to data governance and data management solutions
- work in sprints with our data & AI scrum team
Over the past two years, our data team has been the fastest-growing team in the IT department. And even though youll be the very first data team member in our Bangkok office, you wont be alone. Youll work closely with our data colleagues in Amsterdam. The team there includes data engineers, analytics engineers, AI engineers and a product owner, all working together to deliver projects that make an impact across the company.

Who are you
You are curious and hands-on, never shy about sharing ideas and eager to make things happen. You like working on projects that really matter, and you dont mind experimenting or questioning the usual way of doing things. Learning new tools and technologies excites you, and youre always looking for better ways to get things done.
Futhermore, You Have
- 4 years of work experience as a data engineer, delivering data products to the business
- A solid understanding of the basic concepts of software engineering
- Solid work experience with a cloud data stack, preferably Azure, Databricks and dbt
- Experience with Bicep, Terraform or a comparable infrastructure as code
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Excellent communication skills towards business and technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow
- Willingness to travel to the Netherlands for onboarding and occasionally meeting business stakeholders
- Nice to have: experience in the banking sector
