JOB SUMMARY
The job incumbent will be responsible for developing and managing the data science strategy for the company. He/She is also expected to work with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities to use data to drive decision making, to enhance the business capabilities for overall goal achievement, and to adopt the advanced data science and analytics across the business. The Senior Data Scientist will also be responsible for building and maintaining a team of data scientists, as well as developing and managing relationships with external partners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Select and employ advanced statistical procedures to obtain actionable insights.
- Produce and disseminate non-technical reports that detail the successes and limitations of each project.
- Become a multiplier for data science team by sharing work, providing mentorship to team members, providing technical feedback, and developing work into shared team tooling.
- Solve challenging real-world problems using our exciting and massive multimodal data (e.g. text, image, video and other proprietary data) and state-of-the-art machine learning platforms.
- Work with an experienced group of machine learning engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, with a strong product ownership from research to production.
- Build cutting-edge AI applications, many times involving geospatial and location intelligence space.
- Demonstrate a commitment to improve and comply with SSHE policy, environment regulations as well as labor law
- Perform other related duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATION
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related fields
- At least 5 years of experience in a data science role or equivalent position with proven capability in leading the execution of end-to-end data solutions for business stakeholders
- Experience and exposure on Advanced Computer Vision, Image processing and Machine Learning
- Experience with deep learning libraries (e.g., Pytorch, TensorFlow etc.) and deep learning models/algorithms (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, attention, transformers etc.)
- Experience building high-quality predictive models (classification, regression)
- Good understanding of how to design experiments and choose / construct the right metrics for engineering / business success
- Good understanding of SQL

- Strong programming skills in Python such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, etc
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Problem-solving and critical thinking with excellent attention to detail
