About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our growing data analytics practice in Thailand. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex analytical projects, mentor junior team members, and drive data-driven decision making across diverse industry sectors. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with business acumen to deliver actionable insights that create value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Modeling

• Design and implement statistical models, ML algorithms, and predictive analytics 
• Develop end-to-end workflows from data ingestion to deployment and monitoring
• Exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and business opportunities
• Build and validate models using regression, classification, and clustering 
• Optimize models through feature engineering, tuning, and ensemble methods

Business Impact & Strategy

• Present complex findings and recommendations to leadership and clients
• Develop data-driven strategies that directly impact business outcomes and ROI
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and advanced automation

Technical Leadership

• Mentor and guide junior data scientists in technical skills and best practices
• Establish coding standards, documentation practices, and quality assurance
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies
• Collaborate with data engineers to design data pipelines and infrastructure
• Compliance with data governance, privacy regulations, and security protocols
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications

Required Qualifications

Work Permit

• Must have a valid work permit and/or be legally allowed to work in Thailand

Education & Experience

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative roles
• Proven track record of delivering business impact through data-driven solutions

Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in Python and R for statistical analysis and machine learning
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks
• Proficiency in data visualization tools
• Experience with cloud platforms and big data tech
• Knowledge of statistical methods, experimental design, and A/B testing
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and model deployment pipelines

Business Skills

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Understanding of business processes across various industries

Language Requirements

• Strong English (written and verbal)
• Thai language proficiency preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Southeast Asia and understanding of local business practices
• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles
• Experience with real-time analytics and streaming data processing
• Previous experience building and scaling analytics teams
• Industry expertise in insurance, financial services, retail or telecommunications
• Professional certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies
