Role Overview

The Senior Digital Media Manager serves as the strategic lead across a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring media campaigns drive measurable business outcomes while fostering strong and trusted client relationships. This role combines media expertise, leadership, and commercial acumen. You will lead media strategy, oversee campaign performance, mentor a team of media specialists, and act as a trusted advisor to clients. You will work closely with the Digital Media Planning Manager to ensure seamless execution and delivery.

Client Leadership & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor for assigned client accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Lead client meetings, quarterly business reviews, campaign presentations, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Understand client business objectives and translate them into effective media strategies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand client investments and grow accounts.

Media Strategy & Performance

  • Develop and oversee full-funnel paid media strategies across multiple digital platforms.
  • Guide campaign planning, audience strategy, budget allocation, and performance forecasting.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide strategic recommendations to maximize business outcomes.
  • Ensure media plans align with client objectives, industry trends, and platform best practices.
  • Lead performance reviews and communicate insights in a clear and actionable manner.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor and support Digital Media Managers and Executives.
  • Provide coaching and strategic guidance on campaign planning and optimization.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the team.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and capability development initiatives.
  • Act as a role model for client servicing excellence and strategic thinking.

Commercial & Business Growth

  • Identify opportunities for account growth and cross-service collaboration.
  • Support new business pitches and proposals where required.
  • Ensure media recommendations align with client budgets and commercial objectives.
  • Contribute to revenue retention and growth targets for the department.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Creative, Social, and Client Services teams to deliver integrated marketing solutions.
  • Partner with the Media Operations Manager to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Escalate risks, challenges, or client concerns proactively and drive resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in digital media planning, buying, and optimization, with a proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • 3 years of experience in team leadership and management, with demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in digital media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to track, measure, and analyze campaign performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for innovation, with the ability to develop and execute data-driven, customer-centric digital media strategies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in digital media platforms and technologies, including but not limited to display advertising, paid search, social media advertising, programmatic buying, and mobile marketing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AI technologies and emerging AI-powered tools, with the ability to leverage them to improve campaign performance, operational efficiency, reporting, and team productivity.
