Position: Senior Power BI Developer (SQL / Data & Analytics)
Location: Bangkok – Phra Khanong – Hybrid (2 days in the office)

Role Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer (SQL / Data & Analytics) to take ownership of both Power BI development and data reliability across our analytics platform.
This is a hands-on hybrid role combining Power BI data modelling, DAX development, dashboard design, SQL-based investigation, and data quality troubleshooting. You will play a key role in ensuring our dashboards are not only high-performing and user-friendly, but also accurate and trusted by our clients.
You will act as a trusted senior within the team, providing technical guidance, supporting junior analysts, and helping bring structure and stability as we scale.
In addition, you will act as a senior escalation point for complex data issues, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our reporting layer and data workflows.
This role is not limited to dashboard development and includes hands-on data investigation and troubleshooting across real-world datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports for internal and client-facing use.
- Build and maintain efficient data models (star schema, relationships, measures).
- Write and optimise DAX measures to support business logic and KPIs.
- Ensure performance optimisation of datasets and reports (model size, query speed, visuals).
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, missing records, and reporting inconsistencies.
- Analyse and debug SQL logic, data flows, and transformations.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex BI and data-related issues.
- Work closely with Data Engineering and Integrations teams to ensure clean, reliable pipelines.
- Maintain consistency across reports (themes, layouts, standards, UX).
- Provide clear, structured explanations of issues and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior analysts and act as a technical point of reference for the team.
- Contribute to documentation, SOPs, templates, and reporting standards.
- Support monitoring, alerting, and ongoing improvements to data reliability.
- Participate in a weekend support rotation (2–3 days/month, with compensatory days off).
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Power BI development.
- Strong experience building Power BI dashboards and data models.
- Strong DAX skills and understanding of performance optimisation.
- Solid SQL skills (joins, aggregations, debugging, data validation).
- Good understanding of data modelling principles (star schema, fact/dimension design).
- Experience working with large datasets and real-world data issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or similar cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with messy, imperfect data.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong ownership, structured thinking, and ability to work independently.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Power BI performance tuning and optimisation.
- Familiarity with tools such as Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit, or similar.
- Experience working in a SaaS or client-facing analytics environment.
- Exposure to hospitality systems (PMS, POS, revenue data).
- Experience with ETL pipelines (SSIS, Dataflows, Fabric, etc.).
- Experience with dashboard UX, theming, and standardisation.
