Job Description
Job title: SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER
Summary/Objective
Assist and take on Plant Manager's role when Plant Manager is absent, guide the corporation in maintaining and improving its competitive position. Coordinates activities between departments to achieve require and consistent results. Rotation to different locations after 2-5 years in different countries
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.
- Directs the company's Operations activities include production, quality, technical, logistic, trade compliance toward the accomplishment of corporate objectives.
- Coordinate Operations activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Coordinates communication and activities between the mother facility and satellite locations with regards to Operations activities.
- Directs the manufacture of all company products at lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by management.
- Adheres to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions.
The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.
Required Experience
- 10+ years in related / similar position
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing / related technical or equivalent experience.
Training Required
- On the Job Training as appropriate
