We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer (6-month contract) to join the team on a contract basis. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure the highest quality across our mobile applications. This role is perfect for someone passionate about user experience, meticulous in test planning, and proactive in identifying bugs before our users do.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for mobile app features and releases
- Execute manual testing across various devices and OS versions (iOS/Android)
- Review product requirements and designs to identify edge cases, inconsistencies, and usability issues
- Own the QA lifecycle from exploratory testing to release validation
- Proactively detect, document, and communicate bugs and usability concerns with clear reproduction steps
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and designers to maintain high quality across sprints
- Ensure UI/UX implementation aligns with Figma designs and design systems
- Maintain and improve QA documentation and test case libraries
- Mentor junior testers (if any) and promote QA best practices within the team
Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on QA experience, including at least 2 years testing mobile applications
- Proven track record of owning end-to-end QA processes in agile teams
- Strong knowledge of mobile testing techniques and common issues on both iOS and Android
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail (or equivalents), Figma, and Google Workspace
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a user-first mindset and proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple features/releases simultaneously
