PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Under Armour is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to help build fast, frictionless experiences across the globe as part of our growing Omni Engineering team. The Sr Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, configuring, supporting and implementing omni solutions and integrations on our OMS platform Manhattan Active Omni. The ideal candidate has a passion for collaboration with cross functional partners, can adapt to technology change and evolution, and is eager to find creative solutions to technical issues.

Reporting Structure: Direct line reports to the Sr. Manager Engineering (Platform Integration Focus) located in Bengaluru, India and will dotted-line report into the Sr. Manager Omni Solutions in USA.

YOUR IMPACT (Job Responsibilities):

• Work with Manhattan Active Omni in conjunction with the internal UA teams and development partners to develop and implement new capabilities and features utilizing the Proactive platform and Manhattan Integration Framework
• Directly impact the user experience by optimizing, enhancing and developing new features across critical touchpoints including inventory, order management, flexible fulfillment, payments, customer service, supply chain and much more
• Collaborate with cross functional teams across Supply Chain, Digital Product, QA, Retail and E-commerce, delivering seamless experiences and executing strategic initiatives
• Translate business/technical requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Manhattan Active Omni platform
• Research platform capabilities identify opportunities as it relates to the Omni Direct to Consumer roadmap
• Provide input to technical architecture and design for features implemented on the Manhattan Active Omni platform, including performing code reviews and technical design reviews.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, automated testing, code review assistants) to improve engineering productivity and code quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree with typically 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 3 years of relevant experience or 9 years of relevant work experience without a degree
• 2+ years of professional experience with IBM web methods
• 2+ years of Omni experience, including experience with some of the following systems: Order Management System, Point of Sale, Payment, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Ecommerce, Fraud Management
• Proven experience in multiple development technologies including: JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS and IBM web methods
• Proven experience in working and integrating with APIs and 3rd Party systems integrations (SOAP/REST)
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (Git strategies, Unit Tests, build processes, etc.)
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle for platform development, testing principles, project methodologies and practices
• Experience with Agile development methodology a must
• Ability to deliver on customer-facing features using a combination of modern server-side technologies including Node.js
• Able to work independently as part of a globally distributed team, proactively requesting assistance, advice and input from colleagues and customers both internal and external as needed
• Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills; able to understand and balance perspectives and find common ground between parties across divides
• Adaptable and change-resilient, working well in a dynamic fast-paced global environment, accepting new ideas and initiatives, and making positive use of opportunities presented

WORKPLACE LOCATION:

• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Bengaluru (Manyata Tech Park) office.
• Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week, with possible travel to regional offices, conferences, and training.
• Licenses/Certifications: TOGAF Certification preferred
