Key responsibilities
- Architect with Autonomy: Lead the end-to-end technical design of cloud-native applications, moving beyond feature implementation to full architectural ownership.
- Scale the Ecosystem: Build mission-critical API integrations connecting partner banks with open banking and BaaS platforms, ensuring high availability and zero-downtime performance.
- Champion Quality: Set the standard for engineering excellence through regular peer reviews and a commitment to modular, clean code that survives the test of scale.
- Operate with Precision: Bridge the gap between engineering and business operations by proactively maintaining system stability and solving complex technical challenges in real-time.
Requirements:
- Engineering Excellence: Mastery of modern software practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies in high-growth environments.
- Java Mastery: 5+ years of professional experience with Java (JDK 17/21+ preferred) and the JVM ecosystem.
- Framework Expert: Deep expertise in Spring Boot, ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate), and building secure RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
- Cloud-Native DNA: Proven experience designing and rolling out distributed Microservices using containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka).
- Layered Testing: Hands-on experience with automated testing across the pyramid, including Unit, API Contract, and Behavioural testing (e.g., Cucumber, Pact).
- Strategic Communicator: Strong English communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to both engineers and stakeholders.
