Working arrangement: Work at the office 100% at Empire Tower (BTS Chong NonSri)
Responsibilities
- Database Management & Maintenance
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch database software.
- Manage database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures).
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot slow queries or bottlenecks.
- Optimize database storage and tuning queries for performance.
- Backup & Recovery
- Plan and implement backup and restore procedures.
- Ensure data recovery solutions are in place and tested regularly.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain database security, including access control and encryption.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide support to developers and application teams regarding database architecture.
- Troubleshoot issues related to database connectivity, performance, and access.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain database-related documentation including architecture diagrams and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on system health, performance, and usage.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, AWS Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL, mongodb atlas.
- Experience with database backup and recovery, tuning, and optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Alibaba apsaradb) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
Preferred:
- Certifications (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server Certified: AWS Certified Database - Specialty).
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure as code is a plus.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Working Conditions
- May be required to work on-call or outside regular business hours for emergency support or maintenance.
