The Senior IT Team Lead (Thailand) is responsible for ensuring stable, secure, and efficient day-to-day IT operations across the Thailand data centre and office environments. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on operational execution, infrastructure reliability, and end-user support.
The role complements the broader IT leadership function by taking ownership of daily technical operations, enabling greater focus on strategic initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and global alignment. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented IT professional with strong technical depth and a service-oriented mindset.
IT Operations & Infrastructure Support:
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, network equipment, and storage systems.
- Ensure high availability and operational stability of IT systems supporting data centre operations.
- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Support infrastructure deployment, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate patch management and system updates for servers and IT devices.
Application & System Administration:
- Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of business applications and enterprise systems.
- Coordinate system changes and assist in implementing new applications.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, and system configurations.
- Support data backup, recovery processes, and business continuity planning activities.
- Manage and track support tickets via ITSM tools, ensuring SLA adherence.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues with clear documentation and status reporting.
Security & Compliance:
- Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with corporate security policies and Global IT Blueprint standards.
- Support vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and patch compliance initiatives.
- Assist in IT audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Monitor security alerts and coordinate incident response activities with relevant teams.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with APAC IT, Global IT, and Data Centre Operations teams to support infrastructure and operational initiatives.
- Coordinate with Facilities and vendors for onsite support, maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Provide technical guidance to local operations teams and support cross-functional alignment.
- Participate in regional IT projects, rollout initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
- Prepare operational reports, documentation, and regular status updates to IT Manager.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT infrastructure or data centre operations
- Proven experience working in data centre environments is highly preferred
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls)
- Solid experience with servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems
- Good understanding of end-user computing and enterprise IT environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and virtualization technologies
- Familiarity with monitoring systems, IT service management (ITSM) tools, and data centre operations
- Sound understanding of network infrastructure and troubleshooting
Operational & Functional Capabilities:
- Ability to support on-site IT infrastructure within a data centre environment
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required for maintenance or incident support
- Experience working with vendors and external service providers
- Ability to coordinate effectively with regional and global teams across multiple time zones
