Solar Technology Engineer

Core responsibilities :

1. Customer communication and data collection: Engage in in-depth discussions with clients of distributed and residential PV projects in Southeast Asia to comprehensively understand their electricity consumption patterns, including daily, monthly, and annual peak/off-peak periods, total electricity usage, load curves, and pricing structures.
2. On-site Investigation and Data Collection

Conduct a comprehensive on-site survey of the project site, accurately measure the roof area and orientation, identify obstructions in detail, determine the inverter installation location, and finalize the grid connection plan, thereby providing precise data support for project planning and design.

1. Solution Design and Technical Consulting

Based on customer data collection and on-site inspections, we develop customized distributed PV and PV+energy storage system solutions, providing detailed and feasible technical proposals along with Bill of Materials (BOM). We offer comprehensive technical consulting services for PV and energy storage systems, explaining technical solutions, system stability, and maintenance requirements in an accessible manner.

1. Drawing of design drawings

Upon signing an EPC contract with the client, the contractor is responsible for conducting detailed design work or performing technical reviews of the design drawings. Upon project completion, the contractor is further responsible for preparing or reviewing the as-built drawings.

1. Bid and Technical Solution Leadership

By spearheading the development of technical solutions, highlighting system advantages to enhance competitiveness, and playing a pivotal role in project bidding.

1. Cross-department Collaboration and Investment Analysis

During the early project development phase, we collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to rapidly develop technical solutions, BOM lists, and investment estimates based on preliminary project plans. We conduct precise cost-benefit analyses and provide critical cost data to support investment decisions, ensuring smooth project launch.

To address diverse roof configurations and structural designs in residential PV projects across Southeast Asia, we collaborate with headquarters technical engineers to develop standardized residential photovoltaic products that meet industry requirements.

1. Technical guidance and quality control during the construction process

During the construction of residential PV and commercial/industrial PV projects, collaborate with the project manager to provide technical guidance to subcontractors construction teams, conduct on-site technical inspections, and perform technical reviews and verifications of construction process requirements.

Requirements :

1. A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering (such as electrical engineering, renewable energy, etc.) or related technical fields.
2. At least 3 years of experience in PV electrical design for Southeast Asian countries, with participation in the design and implementation of multiple distributed PV projects. Proficient in the design characteristics of various types of PV systems.
3. Proficient in professional design software such as PVsyst and AutoCAD; capable of independently completing basic electrical system design tasks. Skilled in utilizing drones for on-site surveying, photography, and modeling.
4. Familiar with international and local regulations, standards, and specifications in the power industry (e.g., International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), local grid connection requirements). Possesses a strong awareness of electrical safety and quality control.
5. Possesses outstanding organizational, coordination, communication, and teamwork skills; capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and professionals to complete project tasks. Willing and able to travel as required.
6. Proficient in English and Thai, capable of explaining complex PV technologies and project proposals to clients from diverse backgrounds using clear and accessible language. Skilled in written communication, able to draft standardized, accurate, and professional documents (e.g., technical proposals, reports).
7. Candidates with an Electrical Engineer Certificate certified by the Thai Engineer Council (Counil of Engineer) will be given priority.
