Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at iO Italian Osteria, located in Bangkok City, Thailand. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and managing inventory. The role also involves collaborating on menu creation, ensuring efficient workflow, and training kitchen personnel. The Sous Chef will contribute to delivering an outstanding dining experience for all guests by maintaining high culinary standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine
• Strong leadership, team management, and training skills
• Experience with menu planning, ingredient management, and inventory control
• Understanding of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and kitchen organization
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to busy kitchen operations
• Effective communication and collaboration with kitchen and front-of-house staff
• Culinary certification or diploma in culinary arts is preferred
• Prior experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary leadership role is highly desirable
