As a Strategic Business Development Manager within the Alipay+ cross-border payments team, you will support the adoption, integration, and growth of Alipay+ digital payment solutions with banks and digital wallet partners. This is a front-end, partner-facing role that requires strong ownership, fast execution, and close collaboration with internal teams.
You will work closely with senior internal stakeholders and external partners, contribute to onboarding and launches, and support the ongoing execution and performance of strategic accounts in a fast-paced environment.
This role offers regular exposure to senior executives at partner institutions and meaningful responsibility in high-visibility external engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and support the development of strategic partnerships with banks and digital wallet partners, leveraging Alipay+ digital payment and technology solutions.
- Cultivate and support long-term partner relationships, with the objective of embedding Alipay+ solutions across partners ecosystems.
- Navigate and coordinate across internal product, engineering, risk, legal, and operations teams to support partner onboarding, integration, pilots, and launches.
- Develop tailored proposals aligned with partner needs and Alipay+ strategic priorities, ensuring smooth execution and long-term value creation.
- Track partner performance and key metrics, providing data-driven insights to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
- Stay updated on global payment and cross-border trends, and proactively apply insights to partner discussions and solution design.
- Primarily responsible for the Thailand market, and may also manage partners in other regions.
Job Requirements:
- 4 to 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, account management, consulting, or related roles.
- Background in fintech, payments, banking, or technology is preferred but not required; capability, ownership, and learning agility are more important.
- Proven ability to engage external partners confidently, including senior stakeholders, in structured and high-visibility discussions.
- Strong self-motivation and sense of ownership, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Strong people and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across teams and partners.
- Data-driven mindset, comfortable using data to track performance, identify issues, and support decisions.
- High learning agility, curiosity, and willingness to step into new domains quickly.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required to support partner engagements.
