The goal: Deliver high-quality parts on time to support Tesla's fast development cycles and product launches.

What You'll Do

  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) at suppliers: Conduct and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews, and provide materials input for enhanced design, manufacturability, and cost savings.
  • Facilitate technical communication between suppliers and Tesla teams (Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Testing) to define clear specifications and metrics.
  • Track and improve quality for sustaining products: Support continuous improvements for parts (e.g., OEE, TPM, Lean) while guiding suppliers on efficient, high-quality production to boost scalability and reduce costs.
  • Resolve supplier quality issues quickly: Validate corrective and preventive actions for design/process problems, ensuring reliable part performance, delivery, and overall reliability.
  • Collaborate with Tesla Design, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to set performance targets.

  • What You'll Bring

  • Expertise in Quality Systems (PPAP/APQP), GD&T, inspection, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing.
  • Strong statistical knowledge and data-driven problem-solving; proficient in Excel (BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, SQL a plus).
  • Proven leadership to guide suppliers at the management level, with project management experience.
  • Ability to excel in fast-paced settings: Build teams with suppliers, peers, and cross-functions; work independently under pressure.
  • Fluency in English for complex technical communication with global stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel (50–60%), including short notice.
