Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking a rigorous and experienced Tax Specialist to provide professional tax compliance services and tax risk management for the company's overseas COOEC projects, with a core focus on Thailand tax affairs. The role covers full-cycle tax declaration and filing, tax certificate application, project bidding tax planning, tax inspection coordination, annual tax report compilation, and contract tax registry management. The incumbent will ensure all overseas tax operations fully comply with local tax laws and regulatory requirements, standardize tax document filing, effectively mitigate project tax risks, and safeguard the company's legitimate economic interests and compliant operation overseas.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete tax filings including Value-Added Tax (VAT), withholding tax (if any), stamp duty (if any) by the 15th of each month as well as Commercial Tax and fees declaration for COOEC projects.
  • File provisional half-year income tax return before August of every year, complete the Thailand tax audit for the previous year and the last year income tax filing by April of the following year.
  • Request withholding tax payment certificates from the client, and make application to Thailand Revenue Authority for remittance withholding tax payment certificates.
  • Assist on tax planning and quotation for projects bidding.
  • Apply for Thai tax resident certificates on annual basis, and keep tax returns and tax payment certificates for record purpose.
  • Cooperate on tax inspection and address tax counsel on critical tax issues (if any).
  • Collaborate on compiling and submitting COOEC annual country reports, annual tax risk self-inspection reports, and complete local report on TP disclosure.
  • Track and implement tax registry for project revenue contracts and service subcontracts.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Min a bachelor holder of finance, accounting, financial audit, tax or other finance related majors;
  • Work Experiences: Min 3 years tax related experience, while candidates with experience from PWC(Price Waterhouse Coopers), EY(Ernst & Young), KPMG(Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler) and Deloitte (DeloitteTouche Tohmatsu) or experience of tax planning for international EPC project may enjoy preference.
  • Knowledge: Familiar with Thai tax laws and have a good command on tax planing, esp experience involved with China, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, etc and are capable of tax risks management;
  • Foreign Language: Fluent oral and written English.
