About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Operations to lead end-to-end operations for EDC and Installment Payment Plan (IPP) Merchant Acquiring. This role is ideal for professionals with strong operations expertise in financial institutions, merchant acquiring, and payment businesses, who are passionate about leading teams and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end operations for EDC, e-Commerce, and IPP merchant acquiring, including onboarding, transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, and merchant support
- Oversee merchant onboarding processes (KYM, documentation, system setup) ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance
- Manage operational incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate with IT, Product, Risk, Compliance, and external vendors
- Continuously improve workflows, SOPs, controls, and operational reporting to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk
- Monitor operational KPIs and SLAs and prepare management and business reports
- Lead, coach, and develop the operations team, including performance monitoring and acting as the escalation point
- Manage relationships with EDC vendors and relevant technology and business partners
- Ensure all operations comply with internal policies, regulations, and financial institution standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or related fields
- 8+ years of experience in financial institutions, card business, payment, or merchant acquiring
- Hands-on experience in EDC and IPP merchant operations with solid understanding of transaction flow and settlement
- At least 3 years of experience in a Team Lead or Supervisor role within operations
- Good understanding of card or merchant acquiring P&L and financial dynamics
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Detail-oriented, highly accountable, and able to work effectively under pressure
