Job Description

Position Summary

The Team Lead, Settlement & Reconciliation oversees clearing, settlement, and accounting processes across multiple card schemes (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Speedy Cash). This role ensures operational accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective management of daily settlement activities while leading the team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily settlement, clearing, and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Review and approve accounting entries, daily reports, and reconciliation statements.

• Coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and external partners.

• Manage and submit required regulatory and card scheme reports.

• Monitor and control team expenses and department budget.

• Ensure processes comply with card scheme rules and regulatory requirements.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and efficiency.

• Review and streamline internal workflows to reduce manual steps.

• Support adoption of automation tools for repeated tasks.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and card scheme regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

• Good command of English (reading and writing).

• 10 Years+ Experience in International Credit Card Clearing & Settlement.

• Ability to analyze and improve operational processes.

• Familiarity with Visa, MasterCard, and JCB regulations is an advantage.

• Excellent understanding of settlement and reconciliation workflows.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
