Job Purpose:
Provide Underwriting Technical support to Frontend team in UI Function and other concerned departments to ensure that they perform underwriting and related tasks correctly
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide underwriting advice and collaborate with many parties (Product working group, actuary, reinsurers & Group Underwriting) for new product implementation, including collaborate system development & rule
- Underwrite and approve complicate/high sum assured case within authority including contact reinsurers & Group Underwriting for high sum assured case (over TH authority)
- Provide underwriting advice for underwriter and other parties about underwriting regulation and complicate case
- Review/Support quality control activity (Life & PA) and collaborate with audit/compliance/ERM regarding to underwriting issue
- Provide underwriting training regarding UI procedure and regulation to underwriters and other function
- Collaborate with Group Underwriting & reinsurers regarding to Underwriting initiatives, Underwriting engine and process improvement
- Review/revise underwriting rule and guideline to underwriter
- Deal with Office of Insurance Commissioner (OIC), other related governments and handle customer complaint. This includes testifying in court
Qualifications:
- University graduate withBachelor of Medicine or Nursing Education or Medical Technician or relating medical branch
- Experience at least 5 years in Life Insurance business especially in Underwriting
- Keen knowledge of products, policies, procedures and system related
- Ability to analyze complex information / data and to define and solve problem
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
- Smart handling of complaints and enquires handling skill
- Creativity and conceptual skill
- Good negotiation skill
- Good command in English skills both writing and conversation
