Key Responsibilities
Power Generation Sales Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain close relationships with key account customers within the Power Generation and Oil & Gas Markets including:
- Formulates sales strategies and establishes routes to the market for each of the abovementioned market segment via a direct sales approach, sales through distributors, agents, power plant service companies, existing telemarketing department at Donaldson Thailand, and by means of other marketing tools to promote Powergen products.
- Provides sales and technical support to the customers to create opportunities that lead to sales.
- Prepares quotations, checks technical data and customer's specifications, selects and sizes the proper equipment.
- Conducts and organizes technical presentations at OEMs and EPCs to educate them on Donaldson products, make them specify and buy our products.
- Visits existing Power and Oil & Gas plants/end users to supply Donaldson replacement spare parts for original Donaldson equipment as well as for retrofitting competitor's parts, identify opportunities for retrofits and for upgrading of existing equipment.
- Utilize and complete data within CRM to provide visibility around customer correspondence; quotes and increase market share through the creation of opportunities.
- Actively promotes safety by ensuring safe work systems within the role, adheres to all company WHS policies and procedures, follows applicable client site WHS policies and procedures, and reports all incidents in a timely manner while implementing outcomes as requested
Profit & Loss Responsibilities
- Works with the Senior Manager Sales II for APAC to establish Profit & Loss plan for the territory to achieve/exceed financial targets.
- Manages cost and delivery for supplied projects and aftermarket products to maximize profit and customer satisfaction.
- Investigates the most cost-effective supply sources to increase competitiveness and offers the subsequent proposals to engineering and management.
- Manages the sales and operation costs of power generation for the SEA territory.
- Manages the territories defined within SEA territory for power generation tele-marketing activities including setting priorities and providing guidelines and pricing strategies.
- Establishes contacts with local sub-contractors and looks for possible co-operations/alliances.
Key Qualifications:
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in business and/or engineering or trade qualifications.
Relevant Experience:
- More than 10 years of technical/industrial sales experience.
- Experience in the power generation and/or air filtration business is Preferred.
Technical Competence & Skills:
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to present technical information in a training format to our customers; managers; and others as required.
- Strong sales and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus
- Ability to work independently and within a team,
- Sound mechanical aptitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems; MS Office applications
Others (% of travel, language, etc.):
- Proficient in written and spoken English for daily business communication, technical discussion and cross-regional collaboration, etc.
- Regular travel within the SEA territory is accepted.
