The Role

The Venture Development / E-Commerce Manager is a high-autonomy, hybrid role designed for a commercial builder. You will be responsible for identifying, launching, and scaling new digital commerce channels and business ventures across international markets. This role bridges strategic zero-to-one business development (building the models and partnerships) with day-to-day zero-to-hundred operational execution (managing the platforms, conversion funnels, and performance).

Key Responsibilities

Venture Development & Commercial Launch (Zero-to-One)

  • Market & Channel Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and launch new digital sales channels, localized marketplaces, or cross-border commercial models to expand our international footprint.
  • Business Modeling & P&L Ownership: Build robust commercial business cases, financial models, and pricing structures for new digital initiatives and product categories.
  • Strategic Partnership Management: Source, negotiate, and secure commercial agreements with critical external partners, including tech enablers, logistics providers, and platform account managers.

E-Commerce Platform Operations & Scaling (Zero-to-Hundred)

  • End-to-End Storefront Governance: Oversee the daily operations of all localized direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites and third-party marketplaces (e.g., Shopee, Lazada), ensuring flawless execution of product listings, pricing mechanics, and visual assets.
  • Fulfillment & Supply Chain Integration: Coordinate closely with cross-border logistics and inventory teams to forecast demand, monitor stock levels, and minimize international delivery friction.
  • Funnel Optimization: Analyze traffic, conversion rates, and average order value (AOV) to implement aggressive growth hacks and A/B testing frameworks.

Cross-Border Coordination & Performance Analytics

  • Campaign & Marketing Alignment: Partner with digital marketing teams to align paid media spend, promotional calendars, and regional mega-sale events (e.g., 11.11, 12.12) with stock readiness and platform algorithms.
  • Business Intelligence & Dashboards: Synthesize cross-market operational data into weekly commercial dashboards, translating raw metrics into clear expansion or course-correction recommendations for leadership.
  • Process Playbooks: Create and document standardized operational routines and playbooks to ensure scalable, consistent store management as new markets go live.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 3 - 5 years of professional experience, ideally coming from a fast-paced startup environment, management trainee program, management consulting, or a regional e-commerce operational role.
  • Data & Commercial Acumen: High proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; comfortable building commercial forecasts, analyzing complex datasets, and managing performance metrics.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capability to structure ambiguous business problems, create clear action plans, and execute them independently.
  • Tools & Ecosystems: Experience working with e-commerce content management systems (e.g., Shopify), marketplace backend tools, or web analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Language Fluency: Native or professional fluency in both Thai and English is mandatory to effectively manage international stakeholders and local market dynamics.
