Role Purpose

Based anywhere within APAC where Azelis has offices, the Business Development and Principal Manager is a senior role within Azelis with responsible for driving profitable growth, principal acquisition and managing strategic principal partnerships across APAC. Along with the Market Segment Director (MSD), the role acts as a key driver of new principal acquisition for the BU within APAC and as business partner with country sales teams to manage our strategic principals.

Key Responsibilities

Growth & Commercial Performance

Drive BU growth by identifying potential new principals that fit strategically with our CASE business
Prepare and deliver winning pitches to secure new principal appointments
Support country sales teams to help deliver growth objectives for key principals.
Secure principal support on pricing, supply allocation, innovation, and commercial priorities.
Maintain a strong opportunity pipeline and track initiatives through CRM
Drive revenue, GP & EBITA performance across the principal portfolio.

Strategic Principal Management

Manage and grow relationships with strategic principals across APAC.
Build strong partnerships at local, regional, and global levels, including senior leadership.
Develop and execute principal growth strategies and joint business plans.
Drive principal engagement, satisfaction, and long-term partnership development.

Strategic Alignment & Executive Engagement

Lead regular business reviews with principals and internal stakeholders.
Align commercial priorities, growth plans, and strategic initiatives.
Facilitate executive-level engagement between principal and Azelis leadership teams.
Build relationships with regional counterparts in Europe, The Americas, Middle East & Africa to foster cross regional growth opportunities for new principals

Market Intelligence & Reporting

Provide market, customer, and competitor insights to support business decisions.
Monitor pipeline performance on behalf of principals
Ensure timely and accurate internal and external reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

Ideally a Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, engineering or related discipline.
10+ years experience within the specialty chemicals distribution sector, ideally in the coatings sector
Strong track record in managing principal partnerships and driving profitable growth.
