2D Motion Graphic Designer Intern

House Sparrow Films is a creative video production studio that transforms complex learning into engaging, scalable video experiences. We specialize in training videos, MOOCs, onboarding content, explainers, and corporate learning assets for businesses, universities, NGOs, and content creators.

We've partnered with leading names in India like Rapido, ISB Hyderabad, IIM Bangalore, and 200+ global organizations. Now, we're looking for a Motion Graphic Designer & Animator Intern who can bring ideas to life through compelling animations.

As a Motion Graphic Designer & Animator Intern, you'll work with our creative team to design, animate, and deliver learning-focused video assets. You'll be creating explainer videos, training animations, character movements, infographic videos, and more.

This is a hands-on learning opportunity for someone who loves motion graphics, visual storytelling, and design.

• Assist in creating 2D motion graphics, explainer videos, and animated assets
• Animate text, icons, infographics, and characters for course/training videos
• Support in developing storyboards, design frames, and visual concepts
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and video editors to execute projects
• Adapt and repurpose existing visuals into short-form animations for social media
• Ensure animations follow brand guidelines, clarity, and learning objectives

• Strong command over Adobe After Effects (primary tool)
• Good understanding of motion principles – timing, easing, and visual rhythm
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
• Ability to interpret scripts and visualize them creatively
• A clean, professional animation style with a focus on clarity and aesthetics
• Eagerness to learn, experiment, and iterate fast

We want to be very specific about what we're looking for — and what we're not.

This internship is not for:

3D artists (Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, etc.)

Traditional frame-by-frame animators or digital artists using Procreate or TV Paint

Hand-drawn or cartoon-style animators

People who prefer illustration-heavy or purely artistic animation work

This role is for someone who lives and breathes Adobe After Effects — who loves clean motion graphics, transitions, typography, kinetic design, and creating clarity through animation.

• Experience with character rigging and animation
• Knowledge of tools like Animate CC and AI tools for videos
• Prior experience in eLearning or explainer video projects
• Ability to create GIFs, reels, or short-form motion content

• Hands-on training with real client projects
• Exposure to corporate training and education-focused animation
• Mentorship from experienced animators, designers, and creative leads
