Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing activities, including manual journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L evaluations,
• Maintaining alignment with TFRS for NPAEs and IFRS standards.
• Perform comprehensive variance analysis, address open items, and work alongside cross-functional teams to generate actionable financial insights.
• Uphold robust internal financial controls, detect operational inefficiencies, and lead external audit engagements by preparing schedules and addressing audit queries.
• Direct external regulatory reporting requirements, including filings for entities such as the Bank of Thailand.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders—such as Operations, FP&A, Tax, SSC, and Regional Accounting—to evaluate accounting implications for new business initiatives and partnerships.
• Leverage AI platforms and automation to optimize reconciliation, reporting, and audit workflows, driving efficiency across the department.
• Advise business partners on performance trends, budgetary alignment, forecasting, and financial risk management.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all statutory and tax requirements (VAT, WHT, CIT, SBT, etc.).

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounting/finance, preferably in a tech company, or financial services.
• Prior experience as an external auditor is a strong plus.
• Proven track record in managing multiple stakeholders (business teams, regulators, auditors).
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong experience with accounting software Oracle is a big plus.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and present insights clearly.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good command of written and spoken Thai and English.
