Accountant (MNC)

We are seeking an Accountant to join a fast-paced commodities trading environment, supporting financial reporting, month-end closing, accounting operations and process improvements. This role offers exposure to both Finance and commercial business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end closing, reconciliations and consolidation activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Reconcile accounting records with trading and source systems.
• Prepare accounting schedules and perform financial analysis.
• Support monthly/quarterly reporting, annual financial statements and audit requirements.
• Assess accounting treatments for business activities and support accounting standard changes.
• Drive improvements in finance processes, controls, automation and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve finance-related matters.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, audit or financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with finance/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in commodities, trading, mark-to-market accounting or audit of trading businesses is advantageous.
