The Accounting Manager oversees all financial and accounting activities to support the company's logistics operations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, timely month-end closing, cost control, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The Accounting Manager plays a key role in supporting management with financial insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring accounting data and delivering financial reports and performance analysis to management
- Supervise and coach accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation.
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Work closely with operations, commercial, and procurement teams to ensure correct cost allocation.
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial report; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Presents recommendations to management on short-and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations.
- Ensure proper documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are in place.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
Key Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum 57 years of experience in accounting, with at least 23 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or transportation is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Thai GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations.
- Proven analytical skills and team leadership experience, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS excel, word and power point
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
