Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Job summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements in accordance with USALI, corporate standards, and Thai accounting regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end and year-end closing in accordance with USALI, corporate standards, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all reconciling items are properly supported and cleared timely.
• Analyze financial results against budget and forecast, providing clear explanations and actionable insights.
• Ensuring all local, province and national taxes are deposited timely, and all related reports are filed on a timely basis.
• Maintain compliance with Thai accounting standards, VAT, WHT, social security, and other statutory requirements
• Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring all findings are properly addressed.
• Assist in the annual budget and forecast preparation as assigned by the Director of Finance Business Partner
Other responsibilities:
• Develop and update finance policies, procedures, and manuals to ensure consistency and compliance across operations.
• Maintain strong working relationships with all hotel departments to support financial control and advisory functions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned in line with business needs.
Required skills:
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines for financial reports.
• Must have a high degree of professional integrity, and be able to work safely, effectively and efficiently.
• Must be able to maintain good relationships with all departments in the hotel to promote effective internal control and financial advisory role.
• Must have the ability to communicate, and the commitment, to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• University graduate with major in accounting
• Experience with Opera PMS and SunSystems preferred
• Additional finance or process improvement training is an advantage.
Experience:
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an international hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of: Accounting principles and procedures, USALI standards, Thai tax and statutory requirements
• Demonstrated ability to prepare financial reports and analyze performance.
• Experience in team supervision and cross-department coordination is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
