The role is expected to independently handle client accounting, tax filings, financial statements and annual statutory-audit coordination, while liaising with Thai auditors, tax authorities and internal teams. This is a client-delivery professional-services role, not an internal finance head position.
1. Client Accounting & Financial Reporting
1. Prepare or review day-to-day accounting for client companies, including purchases, sales, banking, expenses, payroll, AR/AP and general ledger.
2. Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing and prepare or review financial statements and required management reports.
3. Ensure accounting records and financial statements comply with Thai accounting standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
4. Review supporting documents for completeness and accuracy and resolve accounting or compliance issues in a timely manner.
2. Tax Filing & Ongoing Compliance
1. Prepare or review corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax and other applicable tax calculations and filings.
2. Manage monthly, half-year and annual tax-compliance calendars and ensure filings are completed accurately and on time.
3. Support routine information requests, follow-up and communications with the Thai Revenue Department.
4. Monitor Thai accounting and tax updates, identify common tax risks and provide practical compliance guidance to clients and internal teams.
3. Statutory Audit & Annual Compliance Coordination
1. Prepare annual financial statements, audit schedules and supporting documents and liaise with local external auditors.
2. Coordinate statutory-audit timelines, audit adjustments and financial-statement filing requirements.
3. Support the resolution of accounting differences, audit findings and annual compliance issues.
4. Statutory audit reports requiring an independent licensed auditor must be signed by appropriately qualified professionals under Thai law.
4. Client Service & Internal Collaboration
1. Explain core Thailand accounting, tax and annual compliance requirements to Chinese-invested and other cross-border clients.
2. Work with China-based teams on client needs analysis, technical discussions, quotation support and project delivery.
3. Build and continuously improve client document checklists, workpapers, compliance calendars and accounting/tax service SOPs.
4. Depending on experience level, review basic accounting and tax work and support improvements in delivery quality.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related discipline.
2. At least 5 years of Thailand-based experience in accounting, tax, audit, accounting outsourcing, accounting firms or other relevant professional services.
3. Strong knowledge of Thai accounting standards, corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax and annual statutory compliance requirements.
4. Able to independently prepare or review full-set accounting, monthly/year-end closing, financial statements and tax filings.
5. Familiar with the Thai Revenue Department, DBD and related annual accounting/tax compliance processes.
6. Native/professional Thai; Mandarin Chinese is mandatory and must be usable for direct professional communication with Chinese clients and China-based teams; good written and spoken English.
7. Detail-oriented and responsible, with strong professional judgement, compliance awareness, client communication and multi-project management skills.
Preferred Background
1. Client-facing experience in accounting firms, accounting outsourcing, tax advisory, audit firms or corporate-services environments.
2. Thai CPD-related qualification preferred; Thai CPA is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
3. Reviewer/supervisor experience and the ability to review junior accountants bookkeeping, tax and reporting work.
