Job Description
Job Role:- Application Support Engineer
Job Location:- Singapore
Experience:- 6+ Years
Roles & Responsibilities:-- Provide production and application support for Wealth Management systems, ensuring high system availability and performance.
- Monitor production environments, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve issues within SLA.
- Manage incident, problem, and change management activities following ITIL best practices.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, development, and vendor teams for system upgrades, releases, and production deployments.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
- Support UAT, production rollouts, and business-as-usual (BAU) changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to maintain seamless system integrations and processing.
- Participate in business continuity planning, disaster recovery exercises, and regional/global IT initiatives.
- Provide technical support to business users and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of application/production support experience in banking or financial services.
- Experience supporting Wealth Management, Order Management, or Execution Management systems.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle (19c), MS SQL Server, and SQL query writing.
- Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Understanding of financial products such as FX, Money Market, Equities, and Derivatives with front-to-back operational workflows.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production support environment.
- Experience with Avaloq Banking System or Avaloq Certification.
- ITIL certification or knowledge of IT service management processes.
- Knowledge of FIX Protocol, market data, and financial models.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, microservices, Python/Perl scripting, and advanced Excel.
- Experience supporting enterprise banking applications in a production environment.
