Job Description

Job title: Area Technical Manager – Thailand (SMT / Semiconductor Process)

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the job

Overview

ไม่ใช่งานขาย. Not a sales job.

You've chased voids, bridging and solder balls on the line. You've run the 8D, read the SPC charts and found the root cause while everyone else was guessing. Now imagine doing that for many factories, not just one.

About the company

Our client is a global electronics and semiconductor materials company. Its materials are used by electronics and chip manufacturers around the world, and its technical teams are trusted to solve problems on the production line, not just supply product.

What you'll do:

  • Be the technical partner for customers across Thailand, working alongside the sales team
  • Qualify materials on customers SMT and semiconductor lines, from trial to approval
  • Recommend the right product for each process and application
  • Troubleshoot yield and defect issues on site, using SPC, 8D and root-cause analysis
  • Run training and give technical presentations to customers engineering teams
  • Feed customer and market insight back to the regional team

Why this role is worth looking at:

  • Move from one factory to many, and see how the whole industry builds electronics
  • A pure technical role: no cold calling and no prospecting
  • A global company with regional support and exposure to international teams
  • Your process knowledge becomes the reason customers trust the brand

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years as a process engineer in SMT, PCB assembly or semiconductor packaging
  • Hands-on SPC, 8D and line troubleshooting
  • Good spoken and written English, plus fluent Thai
  • Comfortable visiting customers and building relationships with their engineers
  • A degree in engineering or materials science, or something related

How to apply:

Email your CV in English to [Confidential Information] and [HIDDEN TEXT], with the subject line ATM Thailand – your name.
