Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- The Asia HR Operations Leader is responsible for establishing and leading a regional center of excellence to enhance governance, standardization, and effectiveness of HR operations across Asia. This role will drive process excellence, ensure compliance, and build sustainable capabilities in payroll, attendance management, and broader HR operational processes.
- Travelling around Asia 40% to visit each countries cover China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and India.
Regional Governance & Standards task:
- Establish and maintain standardized HR operational processes across all Asia countries.
- Define policies, controls, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of HR operations and ensure alignment with legal and company requirements.
- Drive process Excellence & Continuous Improvement.
- Reduce manual work through system optimization and process redesign.
- Partner with HRIS and IT teams to improve system configuration and integration.
- Monitor and mitigate operational risks (e.g., payroll errors, vendor overpayments, compliance gaps).
- Develop training programs for HR teams across countries.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice exchange across the region.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer during transitions and organizational changes.
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure service quality.
- Lead Asia HR projects on need basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of HR experience, with strong exposure to HR Operations (Payroll, Attendance, HRIS).
- Proven experience in regional or multi-country roles within Asia.
- Strong understanding of HR governance, compliance, and process standardization.
- Experience in leading transformation or Center of Excellence (CoE) setup is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, strategy and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders across cultures.
- High attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
- Good command of English.
