The School of Social Sciences (SSS) is part of NTU Singapore's College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS), whose students and scholars actively collaborate in fields ranging from philosophy to design, to understand how people in Asia and beyond act in and make sense of the world. CoHASS aims to be Asia's leading centre for innovative, interdisciplinary Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences research.

The Economics Programme under the School of Social Sciences (SSS) consists of 29 full-time highly international faculty members and offers degrees at the undergraduate, MSc, and PhD levels. The Programme has established recognised strengths in applied economics and behavioural economics, alongside core areas of macroeconomics, microeconomics, and econometrics. Faculty members regularly publish in leading international journals, engage in interdisciplinary collaborations, and contribute to policy debates in Singapore and beyond. NTU Economics hosted the2023 Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society. The School also houses the Economic Growth Centre and the Editorial Office of the Singapore Economic Review. The School of Social Sciences at NTU invites applications for Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure-track) positions in Microeconomics, with a preference on topics related to AI.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to excellent and impactful research, the successful candidates are expected to teach and develop courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including General Education courses, as well as supervise graduate students and undergraduate projects.

Requirements

Selection will be based on the quality, impact, and trajectory of research and teaching. Relevant post-doctoral experience will begiven consideration. Candidates should possess or expect to obtain a PhD degree by August 2027.
