Job Description

Assistant Merchandiser is essential in compiling and maintaining commercial data, keeping plans and trackers up to date, and coordinating information across functions so that decisions are made on reliable information – reflecting our commitment to care deeply, to do the right thing, and to seek out better ways of working.

Responsibilities:

Merchandise Strategy, Planning and Coordination

  • Assist in building seasonal assortment plans and merchandising briefs by brand and category
  • Support line planning and OTB management by analysing sales, stock, and in-season trends
  • Track incoming stock and coordinate timely product launches
  • Coordinate replenishment with stores and planning teams and ensure on-time availability

Pricing, Margin and Inventory Management

  • Prepare and maintain price lists by brand, ensuring pricing accuracy and alignment with brand and margin strategy
  • Monitor key KPI's including sell through, gross margin, inventory cover, ageing inventory and markdown liabilities

Sales and Performance Analysis

  • Analyse and coordinate weekly and monthly performance recaps by brand, category and store
  • Track the performance of key stories, hero styles and newness to recommend reorders, size curve adjustments, store transfers and exit strategies

Vendor and Supply Chain Coordination

  • Work with principals to track order status, delivery timelines, cancellation risks, and quality expectations; escalate issues and propose solutions
  • Partner with merchandising to support on documentation, invoicing and PO creation to ensure accurate receiving and system alignment

Market, Trend and Product Insights

  • Provide input into seasonal buys and brand reviews, balancing commercial data with an eye for product, fit and relevant styling
  • Participate in seasonal hindsight and buy reviews, contributing data driven insights and recommendations for future seasons

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Operations and Finance to ensure smooth execution of brand initiatives and product flows
  • Liaise with store teams regularly to gather feedback on assortment performance and customer trends

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or planning within fashion, lifestyle, luxury, or premium multi-brand retail
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills and experience in ERP, PLM, or merchandising systems (e.g., Odoo, Looker).
  • Solid understanding of retail math, OTB, margin, and key inventory KPIs, with proven ability to turn analysis into clear actions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working across multiple brands and functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for fashion and product, with a sharp eye for trends, fit, and styling that align with each brand's aesthetic and customer
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities
