BMS/Power Plant Instrumentation Manager Greenfield Project

Job brief

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control Manager to join this greenfield project as a founding member of the local leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to lead instrumentation, control systems, and maintenance for a brand-new specialty chemical and power plant from the ground up - shaping systems, teams, and standards from commissioning through to stable operations.

Responsibilities

• Complete commissioning, loop checking, and startup of instrumentation, DCS, and PLC systems across the plant and power plant.
• Manage DCS/PLC logic, interlocks, trips, alarms, and safety systems to ensure safe and stable operation.
• Lead Burner Management System (BMS) activities and troubleshooting.
• Establish a Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Calibration Program through SAP PM.
• Manage instrumentation & control teams, OEM suppliers, and contractors, ensuring quality and adherence to international safety standards.
• Coordinate commissioning documentation, testing, and handover before and after startup.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with regional and global group companies.
  
  

Requirements

• Fluent in Thai and English.
• Degree in Instrumentation, Control & Automation Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, preferably within power plant, petrochemical, refinery, or other heavy continuous-process industries.
• Strong expertise in DCS/PLC and Burner Management Systems (BMS) / Power Plant Instrumentation.
• Good knowledge of SAP PM and Process Safety Management (MOC).
• Strong leadership and contractor/vendor management skills.
• Growth-oriented mindset, with willingness to build processes from the ground up.
