Overview
The Business & Data Analyst bridges business stakeholders and the tech team. This role gathers requirements, designs store processes, defines KPIs, and ensures data-driven decision-making within StoreOps systems.
Responsibilities
Business Requirements & Process Design
- Engage store operations, supply chain, finance, and merchandising teams.
- Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Map AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
- Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Define workflows for inventory, replenishment, billing, returns, promotions.
Data & Analytics
- Define data requirements and reporting structures.
- Create data dictionaries and KPI definitions.
- Design dashboards and store performance metrics.
- Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support data validation and UAT testing.
Stakeholder & Product Support
- Prioritize backlog with Product Owner.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Support sprint planning and UAT coordination.
- Ensure traceability from requirements to delivery.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in business analysis, preferably in retail or store operations.
- Strong knowledge of retail KPIs (sell-through, shrinkage, stock turnover).
- Experience with SQL and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau/Looker).
- Process mapping tools (Visio, Miro, Lucidchart).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
