Business Development Specialist

Reporting Line

Reports to: Vice President Business Development

Works closely with: Corporate Strategy, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Business Units

Role Purpose

The Section Manager Business Development is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and supporting new business opportunities, partnerships, and growth initiatives aligned with Group strategy. The role focuses on market analysis, feasibility assessment, partnership coordination, and execution support to drive sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Opportunity Identification

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion initiatives aligned with Group strategy.
  • Conduct market scanning, trend analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Develop opportunity hypotheses and initial business concepts.

2. Feasibility Study & Business Case Development

  • Conduct feasibility studies covering market, financial, operational, and strategic aspects.
  • Prepare business cases, financial models (with Finance), and investment rationales.
  • Assess risks, returns, and strategic fit of potential opportunities.

3. Partnership & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Support partnership discussions, negotiations, and collaboration frameworks.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Operations, HR) for due diligence and approvals.
  • Act as a focal point for BD initiatives under assigned scope.

4. Execution & Performance Monitoring

  • Support execution of approved business development initiatives and pilots.
  • Track milestones, KPIs, and post-investment performance.
  • Identify execution risks and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
  • 58 years of experience in Business Development, Strategy, Consulting, or Investment roles.
  • Experience in feasibility studies, business modeling, or partnership management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
