Business Intelligence and Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for managing and transforming company operational and business data into actionable insights for executive decision-making. This role acts as a strategic business partner to the business operations director, Finance and leadership team by proactively identifying operational risks, performance gaps, productivity trends, and business improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain executive dashboards, business reports, and analytical models to support data-driven decision-making
• Analyze business performance, trends, and key drivers; translate data into actionable insights for management
• Consolidate and analyze company operational data including but not limited to: Resource utilization, Project Productivity, Financial and operational KPIs, Clinical Operations metrics, database and business performance indicators
• Support strategic planning by identifying business trends, opportunities, and potential risks across departments and projects
• Interpret and translate complex datasets into actionable business insights and executive recommendations
• Work cross-functionally with business operations team, Finance, HR, BD, QA and Project Management team to understand needs and translate them into analytical solutions
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities; propose initiatives to optimize processes and reduce costs
• Develop management reporting frameworks and KPI monitoring systems.
• Act as central point for operational data consolidation and business intelligence
• Support executive meetings by preparing briefing materials, summaries and business insignts
• Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and support decision-making processes
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and reliability across reports and analyses

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Healthcare Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Business Operations, Business Analysis, or Data Analysis roles. Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, or CRO industry preferred
• Strong experience using Excel for analysis and modeling (e.g., Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, Macro, Data Modeling, Scenario Analysis, Dashboard development)
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or business intelligence tools preferred including preparing executive-level reports and presentation.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data to business impact and strategic decisions including organizational performance management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in process improvement, cost optimization, or operational efficiency initiatives
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and proactive mindset with ability to think beyond data and see the big picture
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with senior management
• Ability to work independently, proactively drives initiatives, take high ownership and accountability.
• Hight attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• (Nice to have) Basic SQL (Structured Query Language) or experience working with large datasets and database management.
