Job Description

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Working with the team to develop purchasing strategies by devices and regions that align with the company's goals and objectives;
  • Working very closely with commodity purchasing to deliver year-over-year savings with a clear saving road map for each key device catalog globally.
  • Conducting market research to identify saving potential by key devices based on should cost modeling.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to execute on cost down initiatives and align purchasing activities accordingly. A pro-active approach with cross-functions needed to guide strategic discussions.
  • Ensuring compliance, legal and ethical standards in the purchasing process and in accordance with the Joyson standards.
  • Analyzing purchasing data (e.g. BOM cost comparison) and align with global commodity mangers and cross-regional procurement leaders to develop best costed BOM by key devices.
  • Developing and maintaining a network of industry contacts to stay informed about market trends and best practices.

Competences And Skills

  • Very strong analytical skills, able to perform under time constraints, and operate in high pressure situations.
  • Deep technical understanding of commodity & sub-commodity level to work with engineering & project purchasing on sustainable savings (early involvement) and developing a strong supplier base beyond price comparisons.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to mentor/develop direct reports with a focus on career development.
  • Brings a positive attitude, high energy, and strong desire to win.
  • Professional skills in Excel and PowerPoint
