1. Role Purpose
The Catering Sales Manager at Jazzotel is the dedicated specialist responsible for converting and managing all banquet, wedding, and seminar inquiries. In this inbound-focused role, you will receive warm leads from the Cluster Sales team (Head Office) and direct walk-in inquiries. Your mission is to provide professional consultation, finalize the sale, and manage the technical details to ensure a seamless transition to the hotel's operations team.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Lead Conversion: Respond rapidly to all banquet and meeting leads passed down from the Cluster ADOS or Senior Sales Managers, providing customized proposals and site inspections.
- Menu & Event Consultation: Act as the on-site expert for clients, advising on menu planning, floor layouts, and technical requirements specific to Jazzotel's facilities.
- Upselling & Yielding: Maximize revenue from every inbound lead by upselling premium food packages, beverage tiers, and additional event services.
- BEO Creation (The Blueprint): Draft precise Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). You are the bridge between the client's vision and the Kitchen/Operations team's execution.
- On-Site Coordination: Act as the Face of the Hotel during the start of events to ensure the client is satisfied and all contractual details are being met by the operations staff.
- Account Support: Maintain the relationship with local repeat social clients who book directly with the hotel for annual parties or meetings.
3. Mandatory Requirements
- Conversion Specialist: A high Closing Ratio the ability to take a lead and turn it into a signed contract quickly.
- Detail Oriented: Mastery of the administrative side of catering (contracts, deposits, BEOs, and final billing).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written Thai for social/local clients and professional English for corporate seminar coordination.
- Operational Knowledge: A strong understanding of F&B operations to ensure promised events are actually doable for the kitchen and service teams.
4. Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in Catering Sales, Event Coordination, or Banquet Operations.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Hotel PMS or Catering software (e.g., Opera S&M) to track lead status and generate reports for the Cluster ADOS.
- Personality: Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure—someone who enjoys the finer details of event planning.
