Job Description
What if traveling became a job
YouTrip is looking for explorers to spend time working and travelling across China, creating content, discovering new experiences, and showing people what travel can really look like.
We're looking for people with a genuine personality, a love for travel, and the ability to tell stories in their own way. Selected candidates will receive a salary of THB 100,000 to complete this job scope. We're hiring.
Behind this opportunity is YouTrip - one of Asia's leading multi-currency payment platforms, trusted by millions of users and processing billions in transactions every year. As we continue building a future without financial borders across Asia, we believe the best way to inspire travel is through people who genuinely love experiencing it.
You Will
- Own the end-to-end operation of rewarding yourself.
- Relocate your workplace to China for one week.
- Explore cities, hidden gems, local food, and unexpected discoveries as part of your daily fieldwork.
- Turn ordinary moments into extraordinary stories that people actually want to watch.
- Produce 4 high-quality pieces of content per week (16 in total) from concept and filming to editing and publishing.
- Demonstrate how YouTrip enhances the travel experience through authentic, real-life usage throughout your journey.
- Execute cross-functional collaboration with taxi drivers, café owners, locals, fellow travellers, and occasionally Google Maps.
- Collaborate with the YouTrip marketing and creative teams while maintaining your own creative voice.
- Participate in interviews, production shoots, campaign activities, and the occasional meeting that interrupts your search for the best noodle shop in town.
- Leave China with more stories than souvenirs—and inspire thousands of people to explore China with YouTrip.
You Are
- High ambiguity tolerance - Comfortable operating in environments where Google Maps is more optimistic than reality.
- Bias for action - You'll climb the stairs first and ask whether it's worth it later.
- Extreme ownership - If the content flops, you blame yourself. If it goes viral, you still think the B-roll could've been better.
- Growth mindset - Every missed train is simply a lesson in better itinerary planning.
- Strong resilience - Able to hear Can we get one more take without emotional damage.
- Cross-cultural communication - Fluent in smiles, pointing at menus, and Google Translate.
- Data-driven decision making - Choosing restaurants based on queue length, local grandmas, and gut instinct.
- Performance-oriented - Measures success by the number of people who save your content to their bucket list.
- Flexible - Comfortable carrying a passport, camera, charger, tripod, power bank, and unreasonable excitement every day.
What You can Expect from Us
- THB 100,000 in salary. (Inclusive of everything you'll need to swap your desk to China.)
- A workplace that changes every few days.
- Meetings that occasionally happen over hotpot.
- Business travel where sightseeing is part of your deliverables.
- No assigned desk. Your office will be wherever you open your laptop.
- Stories you'll probably tell for years.
- The most confusing answer to the question, So... what do you actually do for work
