Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage commercial and pricing strategies for Sea Freight operations (Import, Export, and Cross Trade).
  • Analyze freight costs, ocean rates, and market trends to ensure competitive pricing and sustainable profitability.
  • Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and commercial terms with Shipping Lines, NVOCCs, and overseas agents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and business partners to secure competitive rates and capacity.
  • Support the Sales team with pricing strategies, quotations, tenders, and RFQs, including key account support.
  • Monitor and analyze revenue, margins, and profitability by trade lane, customer, and route.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Pricing / Commercial team to achieve business targets.
  • Prepare commercial reports, market analysis, and strategic recommendations for management.
  • Manage risks related to freight rate volatility, capacity constraints, and ocean freight surcharges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 510 years of experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven experience in Sea Freight Pricing or direct experience working with Shipping Lines is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sea freight cost structures and ocean freight surcharges.
  • Experience in team management and strategic commercial roles.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
