Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and control the Cost Accounting system for all manufacturing facilities, including Factory Overhead, Standard Cost, and Actual Cost, in accordance with company guidelines.
- Manage and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials), Routing, Labor Rates, and Overhead Rates in SAP or other ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment with actual materials, production processes, and manufacturing lines.
- Review Cost per Unit and monthly finished goods costs, and analyze variances between Standard Cost and Actual Cost.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports by Product Category, SKU, Factory, and Customer Group to support pricing decisions and gross profit management.
- Manage the monthly cost closing process, ensuring completion within deadlines and reconciliation between cost accounting and the General Ledger (GL).
- Control and review Stock Movement and Inventory Valuation for raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods to ensure accuracy and consistency with accounting records.
- Analyze production yield, scrap, and losses and recommend initiatives to reduce waste and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Act as a business partner and provide guidance to factory and plant accounting teams on cost control, budgeting, and production process improvement.
- Coordinate with Internal Audit, External Audit, and external consultants by providing accurate cost accounting information and supporting documentation.
- Develop and improve cost analysis tools, reports, and dashboards to provide real-time and analytical insights for management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- 7–10 years of experience in Cost Accounting, preferably within the food manufacturing or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Standard Costing and Actual Costing principles and practices.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, M3, or other ERP systems, particularly in Production Costing and Material Management.
